pigeon study, 2007-2008 is a document of decay and transformation. The first image in this series was shot in November of 2007. I continued to photograph this bird until June of 2008. The images in this portfolio were sent out as a weekly email to my mailing list. I sent an email each week for a period of six months, roughly the length of time I spent photographing the bird. The website www. pigeonstudy.com was constructed as those mailings were going out. Each week a new image was added to the website until the mailings had all been sent and the website was complete. These images appeared simultaneously on the literary website Exquisite Corpse - Journal of Letters and Life edited by Andrei Codrescu in New Orleans.

This work also exists as a portfolio of 24 - 20" x 24" archival ink jet prints housed in a lipped clamshell box covered in Asahi book cloth.
